Now you might be wondering about what exactly this has to do with business.

- It will help you to truly unwind, so that you can show up with fully charged batteries to your business.
- It will help you to develop the discipline you need to show up with consistency to your business.
- It will help you to find clarity
- It will sharpen your focus
- It will help you find the perfect strategy for you
- It will help you design a business that serves the lifestyle you desire while you’re still growing
- It will help you heal old wounds that create blockages

The Ayurvedic system is very complex, but we don’t need to read tons of books and learn Sanskrit to profit from the teachings in our businesses.
I’m going to spare you all the details and focus on the simple basics you need for now. For starters, there are three Doshas.
A Dosha is a cosmic AND a biological quality – it’s characteristics show in humans, seasons, foods, places, times of day.
In balance, they are mere characteristics, when out of balance, they can lead to all kinds of physical and mental problems. All of them have positive and negative sides, and none is better or worse than the other.
The three Doshas Are:
Kapha
Kapha relates to earth & water; it’s cool, cohesive, flowing, calm, heavy.
It’s positive character traits in humans are;
loving, kind, nurturing, calm, centered, down-to-earth, always prepared, well-provided, never in a rush.
When out of balance, the Kapha Dosha shows itself in;
lethargy, depression, paralysis, attachment, inability to let go, lack of motivation, boredom, loss of momentum.
Typical Business problems of Kaphas are self-doubt, not stepping up, fear of getting visible, sticking around in their comfort zone for eons, little setbacks can drive them into pulling back & not showing up for weeks.
Vata
The Vata Dosha is associated with Air & Ether. It’s cool, dry, flowing, light, fickle and fast.
The positive traits of Vata people are
Curiosity, creativity, wit, (lightspeed) fast thinking, inspirational, resourceful, innovative.
An unbalanced Vata Dosha however can result in:
Anxiety, overwhelm, stress, lack of focus & direction, insomnia.
Typical Vata problems in business are inconsistency, starting 1000 tasks and never finishing one, lack of structure, switching niches / target audience / core message / branding way too often.
Pitta
Pitta is the Dosha of Fire. It’s linked to friction, heat, transformation, momentum, willpower, movement,
Positive traits are:
determination, focus, resilience, consistency, decisiveness, bravery, leanness, always active, high acheivers.
When out of balance, Pittas are faced with:
Burnout, self-hate, over-competitiveness, aggression, anger, high blood pressure, inflammation.
The typical Pitta struggles with winding down and letting go, they tend to be perfectionists, they tend to overwork themselves, comparing themselves to everyone & their grandma and they get frustrated when things go differently than planned.
Did you find yourself somewhere here?
It’s very common that people have two main Doshas which are dominant in them, and some people actually have all three qualities to the same amount in them.
